ಯಾವ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನಹರೂ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕು?

ಈ ಸಾಲಿಗೆ, ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಏಕತೆಗಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದ ಅನೇಕ ಮಹಾನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಜನ್ಮ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಒಂದಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಗಳಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ತುಂಬಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂತಹ ಮಾದರಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಗಳು ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಭದ್ರ ಬುನಾದಿ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಟ್ಟವರೆ....

ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ದೇಶದ ಯುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇಶ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಬಡಿದೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು. ಯಾವುದೇ ದೇಶ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ಉಳಿಯಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಸತ್ವಯುತವಾದ ಧರ್ಮ ಕಾರಣ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತಿದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಶಂಕರರು ಅವತರಿಸಿದರು. ಧರ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು, ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯನವರು ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಗಳಿಗಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ರೈತರ ಪಾಲಿಗೂ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ...... ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇಶದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಪದವಿ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದವರಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೂ ದೇಶ ಇವರನ್ನೇ ಉನ್ನತಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿರೂಪದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಈ ಮೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಪವಾದದಂತಿರುವ ಯಾರದ್ದೋ ದಯೆಯಿಂದ ದೇಶದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ, ’ಮೈ’ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಜ್ನೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲದ,ಯುವಶಕ್ತಿ, ಧರ್ಮ,ರೈತರ(ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಭಗ್ನ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು) ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಿಂಚಿತ್ತೂ ತಲೆಕೆಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಓರ್ವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯೆಂಬ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದೇಶದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಎಂದೇ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯೆಂದು ಆಚರಿಸುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸರಿ.....?

ಹೌದು! ನೆಹರೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸೋಜಿಗವಾಗೇ ಕಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.... ಕಾರಣ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ, ನೆಹರೂ ಜನ್ಮದಿನಕ್ಕೂ ದೇಶದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವೆಂದೇ ಹೇಳುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಊಹೆಗೂ ಮೀರಿದ ಅಂತರವಿದೆ!.... ನೆಹರೂ ದೇಶದ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಚಿಂತಿಸಿ ದಿಟ್ಟ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ವಿಫಲರಾದರು. ಇನ್ನು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥಾತ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯ ಭಾವನೆ ಹೊಂದಿರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ? ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗದೇ ಇದ್ದವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾದಾರೇ?

ಗಾಂಧಿಗಿರಿಯ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಜವಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾದರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಸಾಲು ಸಾಲು ವೈಫಲ್ಯಗಳು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ, ಯುವಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ದೌರ್ಬಲ್ಯಗಳು ದಾರಾಳವಾಗಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ..... ಭಾರತ ನಿಂತಿರುವುದೇ ಯುವಶಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಧರ್ಮದ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ... ಆದರೆ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಈ ಎರಡೂ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಶೋಕಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಪದದಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮೆದುರು ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಷ್ಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಧರ್ಮದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ......ಬೇಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿತನವಿದ್ದರೂ ಸೂಟು ಬೂಟು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಸಿಗರೇಟು ಹೊಗೆ ಬಿಡುವ ಗತ್ತು, ಶೋಕಿ..... ಅವರನ್ನು ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಎಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೇ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಷ್ಟವಾದೀತು.... ಗುರಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ’ಪಿತ್ರಾರ್ಜಿತ’ದಲ್ಲೇ ತನ್ನ ಅಸ್ಥಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧಾರಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಓರ್ವ ಕಪಟಿಯಂತೆ ಭಾಸವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ...... ತನ್ನ ದೌರ್ಬಲ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನೇ ವಿಭಜಿಸಿದ ಧೂರ್ತರಂತೆಯೇ ನೆಹರೂ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾರೆ....

ಯುವ ದಿನೋತ್ಸವ ಬಂತೆಂದರೆ ಸ್ವಾಮೀ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಇದೇ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ವಿಚಾರ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ....ಗಾಂಧೀ ಜಯಂತಿ ಬಂತೆದರೂ ಸಹ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪಿತನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಲವಾದರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಬಂತೆಂದರೆ ಸಾಕು.... ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದ್ದು ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ದುರ್ಬೀನು ಹಾಕಿ ತಡಕಿದರೂ ಒಂದೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಿಷಯ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೋ ಒಂದೆರಡು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ನೆಹರೂ ಇತಿಹಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕತ್ತರಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತೇವೆ.... ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಾನೇ....ಯಾಮಾರಿಸುವುದು ಸುಲಭ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಹರೂ ಪೂರ್ವಾಪರ ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರುತ್ತವೆ..... ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೆದಕುವ ಗೋಜಿಗೂ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಥವಾ ಅದರ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯೂ ಆ ವಯೋಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ..... ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಇದೇ ನಾಟಕ ಅವರೂ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ... ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಹಾಗಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಶಂಕರರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೋ, ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೋ ಇರುವ ಸತ್ಯ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಬಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೆದಕಿ ತಿರುಚುವವರೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚು...... ಆದರೆ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ತೊಂದರೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ... ಬಹುಶಃ ಈ ವಿಷಯ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿದ್ದೇ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡುವ ಬದಲು ಏನೂ ಅರಿಯದ ಮುಗ್ಧ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸಿದ್ದು...

ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಎಂದರೆ ನೆಹರೂ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು...... ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶ ವಿಭಜನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ’ಸ್ತ್ರೀ’ ಹುಚ್ಚನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕೋ ಅಥವಾ ಅದೇ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪೌರುಷ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನೆಹರೂ ಇತ್ತ ಚೀನಾಗೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಭಾರತದ ಭೂಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಪರಕೀಯರಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಬೇಕೋ.....? ಯಾವುದೂ ಅಲ್ಲ, ರಷ್ಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಜು ಮಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ನಡೆಸಿ ಭಾರತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಿಂಚಿತ್ತೂ ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಭಾರತದ ಮೊತ್ತ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾದರೆಂಬ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕೋ...? ಅಥವಾ ಇದ್ಯಾವುದೂ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹೇಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕೈಗೆ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕೋ?ಏನೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾಜಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಬೇಕು....? ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುವಂತಹ ಯಾವ ಅರ್ಹ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನೆಹರೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಕೊಡಿ....

ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎಂದರೆ ತಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಿವಾಗುವುದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಇಂಥಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಾರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಮೌಲಾನ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನವನ್ನೇ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಎಂದು ಆಚರಿಸದೇ ಇದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವ ಮಾನದಂಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಹರೂ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಎಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕು....? ಭಾರತದ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಎಂಬುದೇ ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಾನದಂಡವೇ....? ಗಾಂಧಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ನೆಹರೂ ರನ್ನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಲ್ಲದ ಅರ್ಜುನನಿದ್ದಂತೆ.... ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂತದ್ದೊಂದು ಹೆಸರೂ ಪರಿಚಯವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.... ಹಾ... ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಾತ್ರ ಗುಣಗಳಾದರೂ ಇತ್ತು.... ಆದರೆ ಚೀನಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಸೋತು, ಮಾತೆತ್ತಿದರೆ ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನೆಹರೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ....?
